In a Platform that contains many expression rules, it can be time-consuming to locate a particular rule by sorting the table, even with the multiple column sort. If you want to see only rules that begin with a certain sequence of characters or end with a certain sequence of characters or only rules of a certain Type, use the Filter tool at the top of the View and manage expression rules page.
Click the arrow to display the Filter area of the page.
Specify your search criteria, using the following fields:
Rule -- Type all or part of the name of the rule you want to find. You can use the asterisk wildcard character (*) for a single or multiple characters.
Type -- From the list, select the Type of rule you want to display: Alarm, AlarmExtendedDataChange, AlarmSeverityChange, AlarmStateChange, AssetTimer, Data, File, MobileLocation, Registration, StateChange, SystemTimer, UserLogin, or UserLogout.
Enabled -- From the list, select either true or false to find either all the rules currently enabled (true) or all the rules currently disabled (false).
Description -- Type some or all of the characters used in the description of the Rule(s) you want to find. You can use the asterisk wildcard character (*) in this field.
When ready, click Filter. When the table refreshes, it displays all rules that match your search criteria.
Important! It is possible for another user to make changes to expression rules while you are viewing them and therefore, the table may not be displaying the most up-to-date information. At any time, you can refresh the table by clicking Clear in the Filter area.
