Set String Length Constraints

In this page, you specify the upper and lower limits for acceptable values that can be entered for the related string data item values at runtime. This range will apply to all string data items defined for this action.

For example, if you specify a lower limit of 1 and an upper limit of 25, when this action runs and the user enters a value for the data item only those values falling within the range (between 1 to 25 characters) will be accepted by the Platform.

To specify string length constraints

1.       Type the minimum and maximum character lengths for each of the string data items configured for this action. Note that you must specify a value, including 0, because Null or empty string is not supported.

2.       When you are finished, click Next to continue configuring this data entry action (for analog value ranges or data entry options) or to select the user groups with edit permissions for this action. If you click Finish, the action confirmation page appears. If you click Cancel and continue canceling, all information configured in this wizard is removed.
