The Audit log can display information about the activities of Axeda Applications users as well as messages and errors sent from the assets.
Agent command - shows a message received from an Agent and a summary of the contents for that message
Agent Response
- shows the message sent from the Agent in response to a SOAP command
sent from the Platform. Shows the agent's status for that command.
For example, the status, "Success," indicates the Agent
performed the action successfully.
Examples: For the Platform's
"Data Item Write" command (Software management upload file),
the Agent may respond with ID = 3, meaning a custom component in that
Agent inhibited the file upload.
Changes to Actual or Defined Asset Configuration, or Configuration Type - If an actual asset configuration or a defined asset configuration is created, modified, or deleted, or a configuration type is created, modified, or deleted, or a configuration failed to validate, an Asset Configuration audit entry is created, with the following information:
o User Create/Update Asset Configuration:
§ Asset Serial - The serial of the Asset which has been updated.
§ User Name - The name of the User who performed the update
o User Create/Update Defined Configuration
§ Configuration Name - The name of the Defined Configuration which was updated.
§ User Name - The name of the User who performed the update
o Agent Create/Update Configuration
§ Asset Serial - The serial of the Asset which has been updated.
o User Create/Update Configuration Type
§ ConfigType - The name of the Configuration Type which was updated
§ User Name - The name of the User who performed the update
o User Deleted Configuration Type
§ ConfigType - The name of the Configuration Type which was updated
§ User Name - The name of the User who performed the update
o Configuration Validation Failed after persistence
§ Asset Serial - The serial of the Asset which has been updated.
§ ConfigType - The name of the ConfigType that failed to Validate
§ Message - The validation error message
Asset Registration
messages - When an asset registers with the Platform, it sends
registration information to identifying itself and its configuration.
The Audit log shows a message similar to the following:
Asset
<asset name> registered
Changes to Gateway
configuration - If you add, modify, or remove an asset from
a gateway asset's configuration, the Audit Log shows whether the action
succeeded or failed on the gateway asset (as indicated in a message
sent from the asset).
The Detail for these messages identifies the type of asset sending
the message, based on the model for that asset, as follows:
0 - asset operates as a gateway
1 - asset managed by a gateway
2 - asset managed by a gateway through auto-discovery
3 - stand-alone asset (communicates directly to the Platform)
The asset messages can show statuses of success
(0) or failure (1)
Gateway message 2: success - status 0 -- message from auto-discovered gateway-managed asset; successful
Gateway message 1: Removed asset Asset 2 from gateway - message from gateway-managed asset; the gateway asset removed the specified asset from its configuration
SOAP command - shows a message sent from the Platform to an agent and a summary of the contents for that message. For example, this status response could command the asset to enter or exit maintenance mode. The detail for these responses could show the following:
1000 - exit maintenance mode
1001 - stay in the maintenance mode
Asset Groups
- When you add or remove assets from asset groups, messages similar
to the following appear:
Delete
Asset From AG: Removing Asset From <name>
AssetGroup:
<assetName>
Assigned asset to asset group: 6
Changes to configuration - When the user modifies the properties configured for a Platform object, such as an asset, model, or gateway, or creates or deletes an object, messages similar to the following appear in the audit log
Updated asset: <asset name> - asset configuration changed in Platform
Updated model: <model name> - model configuration changed in Platform
Inserted asset: <asset name> - created new asset in Platform
Inserted new model: <model name> - created new model in Platform
Access sessions - When the Platform creates a desktop access session or after a user closes a session, messages similar to the following appear:
Access: Access session <Session ID> created
Changes to Usage Application - When a user creates, modifies or deletes a usage item or rule, the Audit log shows a message similar to the following:
Removed Usage Item Source(s) with Id(s): 22. - removed data item components from usage item
Modified Rule: <rule name> - rule modified
Changes to Actions and Rules - When a user creates, modifies, or deletes a rule or an action, the Audit log shows a message similar to the following:
Inserted action: <action name> - new action created
Updated rule: <rule name> - rule modified
