Object Security for State Machines in DA Units

The following table lists the types of users in a Platform configured for Delegated Administration and describes their access to State Machines:

User

Access

Principal Axeda® Connected Product Management Applications Administrator

Access to ALL State Machines in the Platform. When assigning models or assets to a State Machine, access to all models and assets in the Platform.

Non administrator with correct privileges

In the Configuration application, with appropriate privileges, this user can view, create, modify, and delete State Machines. However, the models and assets available when applying a State Machine depend on the assignment of asset groups to user groups. If this user does not have access to a certain asset or model, the asset or model is not available when applying a State Machine.

1st level DA (DA1)

2nd level DA (DA11)

Another DA user within same DA as DA1

Same as non-admin user, with the restriction that the users can access only the State Machines they or other users in their DA Unit create. Users in the first and second level DA Units can also see State Machines created in child DA Units of their DA Unit. DA users cannot see expression rules that are created in other DA Units that are at the same level or that are created in the Root DA Unit by a Principal user or non-Admin user who has the appropriate privileges.
