The following table lists the types of users in a Platform configured for Delegated Administration and describes their access to Scripts:
User |
Access |
Principal Axeda® Connected Product Management Applications Administrator |
Access to ALL Scripts in the Platform. When selecting a model for the Script, access to all models in the Platform. |
Non administrator with correct privileges |
In the Configuration and Service applications, with appropriate privileges, this user can view, create, modify, and delete scripts associated with models to which they have access. However, the models available when selecting a model for a script depend on the assignment of asset groups to user groups. If this user does not have access to a certain model, the model is not available for selection. |
1st level DA (DA1) 2nd level DA (DA11) Another DA user within same DA as DA1 |
Same as non-admin user, with the restriction that DA users can access only the Scripts they create or that are associated with models to which they have access. DA users in the first and second level DA Units can see Scripts created in child DA Units of their DA Unit only if they have access to the models associated with the Scripts. Unless they have access to the models associated with Scripts, DA users cannot see Scripts created in other DA Units that are at the same level or Scripts created in the Root DA Unit by a Principal user or by a non-Admin user who has the appropriate privileges. |
