Object Security for Rule Timers in DA Units

The following table lists the types of users in a Platform configured for Delegated Administration and describes their access to Rule Timers:

Principal Axeda® Connected Product Management Applications Administrator

Access to ALL Rule Timers in the Platform. When applying models or assets to Rule Timers, access to all models and assets in the Platform.

Non administrator with correct privileges

In the Configuration application, with appropriate privileges, this user can view, create, modify, and delete Rule Timers. However, the models and assets available when applying a Rule Timer depend on the assignment of asset groups to user groups. If this user does not have access to a certain model or asset, the model or asset is not available when applying Rule Timers.

Another DA user within same DA as DA1

Same as non-admin user, with the restriction that the users can access only the rule timers they or other users in their own DA Unit create. DA users in the first and second level DA Units can also see Rule Timers created in child DA Units of their DA Unit. DA users cannot see Rule Timers created in other DA Units that are at the same level or Rule Timers created in the Root DA Unit by a Principal user or by a non-Admin user who has the appropriate privileges.
