The third page of the Maintenance Item wizard allows you to configure the Interval Count and Time values as well as the reminders for the maintenance item. You can configure an Interval Count or Time, or both; you must configure at least one of them. In addition, the reminders are optional. By default the two Interval types are not selected and the fields are unavailable.
The following procedure explains how to configure all the options; after configuring at least an Interval Count or Time, you can skip to Step 11 and move to the next step of the wizard.
1. Under Maintenance Interval, select the check box next to Count.
2. In the Count field, type the number of machine cycles between service events. The Count values must be positive numbers. For example, 20.
3. For Reminder 1, select Before or After.
4. For
Reminder 1, type the number of
machine cycles that will trigger this Reminder. Note that reminders must
be positive numbers, with decimal parts.
As you enter values for the reminders, the Platform calculates exact values
for the reminders. For example, suppose you configure Time as 100 days,
Count as 3000, and Reminder 1 as Before 200 for Count and Before 5 days
for Time. The Count for Reminder 1 is 2800 (3000 - 200), and the Time
for Reminder 1 is 95 days (100 - 5).
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for Reminder 2.
6. Select the check box next to Time.
7. In the Time field, type the number of days between service events.
8. For Reminder 1 select Before or After.
9. For Reminder 1, type the number of days that will trigger this Reminder.
10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 for Reminder 2.
11. Click:
§ Next to save the intervals and reminders and continue to the next step, Confirmation.
§ Back to return to the previous page and make changes.
§ Finish to continue to the Confirmation page and save the maintenance item now.
§ Cancel to exit the wizard without saving anything and return to the View and manage Maintenance Items page.
