How to Run a Web Application

You can test the uploaded Web application by clicking the URL for that file in the table in the View and manage applications page. A new tab or window opens with that web application.

To run a web application from outside of the Axeda® Connected Product Management Applications, open a supported browser and follow these steps:

1.       In the address field of your browser, type the URL for the web application.

For a web application that is in a .zip file, type the URL:

      http://acme.axeda.com/apps/WebApp1

Optionally, you can include the name of the index file (a default relative URL), as follows:

     http://acme.axeda.com/apps/WebApp1/WebApp1Index.html

Either way, you are taken to the index file for the application.

2. If prompted, type your login credentials for the application. These credentials are NOT necessarily the same as those for the Axeda Applications.

Note: Browsers may cache the web application resources. If it seems like the most recent changes to web application resources are not loaded, try clearing the browser cache.
