How to enable and disable expression rules

Enabling or disabling an expression rule determines whether the expression rule will be evaluated for all models and assets to which the rule has been applied. To enable or disable one or more expression rules from the Platform, navigate to the View and manage expression rules page (on the View menu of the Axeda Configuration application, select Expression Rules). Then, follow one of these steps:

o        To enable one or more expression rules, select the check box(es) in the Selection column (image\icon_checkbox_without_checkmark.gif) and click the Enable button.

o        To disable one or more expression rules, select the check box(es) in the Selection column and click the Disable button.

o        To enable or disable all expression rules shown on the page (not necessarily the entire table), select the check box in the heading of the Selection column, and click the appropriate button, Enable or Disable.

o        Disabled expression rules are not evaluated and their actions do not run.

Important! If the Axeda® Platform detects that an expression rule is recursive or violates the Platform's execution policy, it disables the expression rule. If the expression rule is the first in a sequence of expression rules, it disables only the first rule in the sequence. All remaining rules remain enabled.
