You can use the Asset Search tool in the Select Assets page to find Platform entries for specific assets to which you have privileges but that do not appear in the tables shown in the Select Assets page. As in all Axeda® Connected Product Management Applications pages, you are restricted to viewing and accessing only those assets to which you have privileges.
This tool supports multiple levels of filtering. For example, you can view all assets of a specific model, only those assets that are installed at a specified location, only those assets with names beginning with "Dev" installed at a specific location, and so on.
1. Click Asset Search to display the tool.
2. In the Asset Search tool, type or select the information identifying the Platform items you want to find, as follows:
§ Name - Type the name of the asset, using the "*" wildcard to represent the part of the name that you do not type.
§ Serial Number - Type of the asset, using the "*" wildcard if you use only part of the serial number.
§ Model - This display-only field shows the model selected for this data export criteria.
§ Organization - Select the name of the organization to which the asset is assigned.
§ Location - Type the city, state, country for the location of the asset. Use the "*" wildcard character to represent any part of the location information that you do not type.
§ Asset Group - Select the asset group to include in the search. The names of all asset groups to which you have privileges appear in the list. Once you select a name, the fully qualified path to that asset group appears in the Parent Asset Group field. For example, if you select the name of a default model asset group, such as "Model XYZ Default Group," the Parent Asset Group field shows the following path to this asset group: /Root Asset Group/Default Model Group.
Note: It is possible for two asset groups of the same name to exist in two different asset group hierarchies in the system, so check the Parent Asset Group to ensure that you have the correct asset group.
§ Asset Conditions - Select the current status or condition of asset (these asset conditions are created in Axeda® Configuration application).
3. Click Search.
The Platform will return all assets whose related information contains the characters you specified. If you leave all filter boxes blank or at their defaults and click Search, the Platform shows all assets associated with the selected model in the Platform to which you have privileges.
The assets found according to your search criteria appear in Available Assets table in the Select Assets page.
In the displayed pop-up, click Cancel to close it without searching. Any search values you may have typed or selected are ignored.
