Data item groups provide a way to manage permissions and privileges for data items defined the Axeda® Platform. Each data item in the Platform can be defined in one or more data item groups, and a data item group can contain other data item groups. Axeda® Connected Product Management Applications users defined in related user groups can "see" and access data items defined in related data item groups.
You can use the tools in this page to create a data item group and edit the information for an existing data item group selected in the View data item groups configured in the Platform page.
1. Define the name for the data item group. This name is required and must be unique in the Platform.
2. Type a description (optional) for the data item group.
3. Select the model associated with this data item group. Only data items from the selected model can be defined in this data item group.
4. When finished, click Submit. The View data item groups configured in the server page appears showing all data item groups defined in the Axeda® Platform.

data item groups configured in the server page reappears.
