View and assign regions to this remote server (GAS)

Use the View and assign regions to this remote server page to modify the regions assigned to the selected Global Access Server (GAS). For information on how the assignment of regions affects the use of a GAS for remote sessions, refer to the topic, How the Axeda® Platform selects a GAS server for a remote session.

Procedures from this page

From this page, you can filter the table of Available Regions, and you can add or remove region(s) for this Global Access Server. To display a procedure, click the title; to hide a procedure, click the title again:

To filter the table of Available Regions

If the list of regions is long, then you can filter the list to show only the regions from which you want to select for this GAS. The text field filters accept the wildcard, *.

1. By default the filters are visible. Click Filter if they are currently hidden.

2. Use the following filters to sort the list of regions shown in this page:

Name -- Type all or part of the name of a region in the text box above the Name column.

Description -- Type all or part of the description of a region in the text box above the Description column.

Parent -- From the list of Parent regions, select the parent region by which you want to filter the list.

3. Once you have selected the filters, click Filter. The page refreshes, showing only those regions that match your filter criteria. To change the filtering criteria, click Clear, and then enter new filter criteria.

EITHER:

1. From the Available Regions table, select the regions to add to this GAS. To add all regions on the current page to the GAS, select the check box in the table header.

2. Click Add Checked. Assigned regions appear in the Selected Regions table.

OR:

§ To add all regions defined in the Applications, click Add All.

When you are finished adding regions for this GAS, click Save Changes below the tables.

To remove regions from the associated GAS

EITHER

1. From the Selected Regions table, select the regions to remove from this GAS. To remove all regions on the current page from the GAS, select the check box in the table header.

2. Click Remove Checked. Removed regions appear in the Available Regions table.

§ To remove all regions currently assigned to this GAS, click Remove All.

When you are finished removing regions for this GAS, click Save Changes below the tables.
